Tartan Week Celebration
City Room - New York Times Blog, April 2008
More than 2,000 pipers and drummers in kilts march up the Avenue of the Americas for the 10th annual Tartan Day Parade. A celebration of Scottish culture, the parade is the culmination of Tartan Week in New York. This video is of a pre-parade ceilidh, a Scottish dance pronounced “kay-lee,” held by the New York Caledonian Club.
