International Crisis Group | August 2006 - March 2007 | Brussels, Belgium
Media Assistant: pitched op-eds to editors, wrote press releases and acted as a liaison between journalists and regional analysts for Crisis Group, an NGO working in conflict prevention and resolution. In addition, gathered endorsement from over 140 former heads of state, ministers, congressional leaders, heads of international organizations and Nobel Peace Prize winners for a Middle East peace initiative statement designed to generate new momentum. It was unveiled in The New York Times, Financial Times, Le Monde and Asharq Al Awsat.

Online Communication Group intern: fact checked the flag-ship annual Global Corruption Report, monitored the press for corruption-related news and researched the use of blogs to increase traffic to the Web site of T.I., an NGO fighting corruption.

World News intern for BBC News Online: uploaded articles to the BBC content management system; wrote headlines, subheadings, and captions; selected photos from wires and edited them in Photoshop for articles and slide shows.
